Who handles your information
Horizon Carpentry, based in Bideford, North Devon, is responsible for the personal information provided through this website. For privacy questions, contact horizoncarpentry97@gmail.com or call 07570 802717.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or request a quote, we collect your name, email address, any phone number you provide, your project location, project details and any optional photographs, budget or timescale. Please avoid including sensitive information or images of people who have not agreed to be photographed.
Why we use your information
We use these details to respond to your enquiry, discuss your requirements and prepare a quotation. This is generally necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract. We may also use relevant records to manage an agreed project or meet legal obligations. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Storage and email notifications
Enquiries and uploaded photographs are stored privately in the website’s hosted database. An email notification containing your enquiry details is sent to horizoncarpentry97@gmail.com. Photographs are held with the private enquiry record rather than exposed in the public gallery. Our website hosting provider, Hostinger, and email providers process information as needed to provide these services.
How long we keep it
Enquiry information should be kept only for as long as needed to respond, manage the related project and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. You can ask us about the retention or deletion of your particular enquiry by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use or object to processing. You may also have a right to data portability. Contact us using the details above. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and technical data
We have not added advertising trackers or marketing analytics to this website. The hosting service may process essential technical data, such as connection logs and security information, to operate and protect the site. External fonts and project images are loaded from their hosting providers, which receive the technical information needed to deliver those resources.
